Now THIS place? Is AAAAAAMMMAAAAZZZING!! Absolutely fantastic service from the moment I walked through the door. No wonder they have over 3,000 favorable reviews! I was immediately greeted with a smile and told I could sit wherever I pleased. I was promptly asked what I’d like to drink. I ordered the hot chocolate with whipped cream. It was one of the best that I’ve had in Georgia. I asked for a menu and my waitress (named “Lite”) informed me that they use QR codes and pointed to a small plaque on the table. While perusing the menu, I scanned the area. It’s very “old school charm”. Exposed brick walls, a wave wrap around counter, concrete floors and an exposed roof giving it a loft feel. I loved the old school stools as well. I thought someone might scoot up to me on roller skates! To say that my waitress was “attentive” would be an understatement. She was perfect and very professional yet casual at the same time. I ordered the “Ultimate Seaside Breakfast”. Which..man..this was THE best breakfast I’ve had since I’ve lived in Atlanta and I’ve been here 4 1/2 years now. The shrimp and grits 5/5, the omelette 5/5, ordinarily I do NOT like anything fried but chicken but decided to still have the fried catfish that came with the ensemble. Well, I’m definitely a fan and will be back. I have a new GOAT here in the A! Thanks again Lite! Ruined my son’s 11th birthday - valued business rules over good business! Unfortunately my oldest son and his dad found out they had to travel out of the Atlanta airport on our younger son’s birthday. Since our family of 6 doesn’t live near the Atlanta airport, I researched Atlanta breakfast restaurants online that were nearby the airport so that dad and older brother could celebrate with our 11 year old before they left. On our way to the restaurant, we saw online that the tsa line would be long. To speed up our breakfast experience, I called in half our order. IMPORTANT: the restaurant does not allow you to call in an order greater than $50 which is why I was only able to call in half the order. When we arrived at the restaurant, my husband went inside and was told that we could not eat in the restaurant since we had called in an order EVEN THOUGH we were not able to order our full meal. They had a sign posted indicating that you could not eat inside after placing a call-in order. The manager then apologized and reiterated this rule to me. Both my husband and I explained that we have been to restaurants where they have allowed you to eat after placing a call-in order especially considering the circumstances - trying to allow an 11 year old to celebrate with his dad and brother and the fact that we hadn’t even placed our full order. Rather than make a little boy’s day and just do good business this restaurant decided NOT to allow us to eat inside. I had two issues with this approach. First, these rules should be posted on the website. If you’re comfortable telling people these rules and posting signs in your restaurant, why aren’t these rules posted on your website? Don’t tell me that other restaurants abide strictly by these rules when I don’t see these same signs elsewhere. Then stick to the rules. While we were there asking for an exception that was denied, another customer broke a 2nd rule and sat down with their party after the initial party had already been seated. Don’t tell us no exceptions and make an exception while we’re standing there. There are times to have business rules and there are times when you just do good business. This restaurant chose not to do good business and ruined the start of my son’s birthday. It was even sadder that we didn’t get to have breakfast as a family and followed that with dropping my husband and son off at the airport. Even the Delta agent sensed our sadness and started to tear up. Do good business Thumbs Up Dinerthe world needs more good. Service: Take out Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $100+
