Not sure if the girl (short Latina?) was overwhelmed (although there were only 2 people on line) or what but regardless lose the attitude. I ordered a veggie delight specifically asked to remove the black olives and add jalapeños she said it’ll be extra, $1. that’s ridiculous but okay so she confirms if I still want it, I said yeah. Then proceeds to still add the black olives thankfully I catch it as she’s wrapping up the sandwich I check out and she throws my bag on the counter rings me up & walks away. Get a new job babe. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Even at the AUS airport, these guys have that special “Thundercloud” attitude I’ve always enjoyed. They probably don’t see a “regular” crowd at the airport, and I’m sure they have to deal with people either in a rush, literally starving from standing in security lines all day or even a ton of never-been-to-Thundercloud-before customers. But they never lose their subtly cool Thundercloud attitudes. Not only is service great, they’ve got great sandwiches too. Stop and grab a sub next time you’re at AUS. You’ll be happier than if you didn’t go there! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Being a former Thundercloud Sandwich Artist in my teenage years, I was so excited to be back in Austin and that there was a Thundercloud at the Airport. However, the two girls working this morning were rude and dismissive and honestly ruined the experience. They seemed annoyed that I was ordering and so inconvenienced they rushed through my sandwich making it hard for me to customize it. They made my sandwich carelessly and angrily, barely communicating the toppings. After I paid, i stood there confused if i should grab my bag or not cause they didn’t say anything or hand it to me just walked away until I asked if I was good to go. Mind you, i was the only one in line so not sure what they were so pissed off and in such a rush for. Whatever happened to the Thundercloud subs I grew up with? Where the workers were “weird”, had good vibes and were happy to be there?! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
