Couldn't rate the food as I didn't eat here however stopped in for a caramel latte and a few ice creams with the family. Real nice scenery being based on the sealine, family run business, very clean and tidy with reasonable pricing. Visited based on a recommendation having not been from the area. Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: £1–10 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Chocolate Ice Cream

Lovely find after not having visited Sandsend for quite a while. Pizza was excellent and straight from the pizza oven. Really good coffee and the ice cream is delicious. Apparently the cake was great too but I was too slow to share!! Ideal location with lovely views and the service was spot on. Dog friendly which was great for us Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Stopped at Sandsend for lunch. Not many eateries there so chose Tides. Asked for a 1/2 & 1/2 pizza (veg for the wife pepperoni for me) told by the boss one side had to be Margherita the other the veg. (Not sure why it's so difficult to do 2 toppings) anyways paid ... £9.50 for Margherita £13.50 for veg .. 1/2 & 1/2 charged £13.50 ... *** don't order 1/2 & 1/2 you get charged for the expensive pizza despite getting no toppings on the other side. Can see now why one side has to be Margherita !!! Pizza came ... no words needed just see the photos ... hardly any cheese on the Margherita side and very few veg on the other !! Very disappointing and with so few places to eat in Sandsend no competition. Coffee in a paper cup wife said was tasteless and left it.. Well the view was good and the location was good so a star each for those !! Value poor !! Service: Dine in Food: 1 Service: 1
