This place is amazing. The food is incredible and the service was fantastic. Not only that but it is a beautiful little place with lovely seating. We went for a quick bite but will be going back again for dinner. Make sure to get the stuffed vine leaves, genuinely fantastic. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Pompia itself is a large village, with its life seemingly centered by the bell tower, and in the evenings it's not hard to grasp why. The Tiganakia restaurant lies between two of the main streets in the village, and boasts an atmosphere that'll settle you in just right from the first step beneath the leafy canopies. There's usually music coming from somewhere, mixing with the buzz and laughter of local diners and the quiet but lively nightlife. The crowds of local cats politely watching your every move adds to the charm. The service is quite spectacular. No matter how busy the restaurant has been, you'll have the menu card in your hands within minutes. The host is charming and very welcoming, and will make you feel at home more so than most restaurants I've visited. The main dish is usually on your table before you've finished the appetiser. The meals themselves range from deliciously grilled squid to traditional pork belly pan dishes, and more besides. The quality is high, the taste is fantastic and the raki, a traditional drink, addicting. I would give it six stars if allowed, but the scale only goes so high.
