Tina’s Kitchen is a family-run restaurant that serves authentic Nyonya cuisine in a warm and homely setting. I ordered the nasi ulam and chicken kapitan for one person, and both dishes were outstanding. The nasi ulam was exceptionally fresh and aromatic, with a wonderful blend of herbs and ingredients that created a complex yet refreshing array of flavours. The chicken kapitan was equally impressive—rich, fragrant, and beautifully balanced, making every bite a delight. The portions were satisfying, and the friendly, attentive service made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Adding to the restaurant’s unique charm, there were excellent durians for sale at the entrance—a delightful bonus and a perfect way to round off a memorable meal. I look forward to returning to sample more of their menu and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly authentic taste of Penang’s Nyonya culinary heritage.
