We got a recommendation from ChatGPT because we were staying nearby, and Havesiliki turned out to be exactly what we were looking for in Crete. Here, we truly experienced all the charms of Greek and Cretan cuisine. Everything we ordered was fresh, homemade, generous, and full of flavor, from the Greek salad with a huge piece of feta to the grilled vegetables, meat, and perfectly seasoned potatoes. After a meal like this, it is not hard to understand why Greek cuisine is considered one of the best in the world. What impressed us even more than the food was the people. The staff were incredibly kind, warm, and genuinely welcoming, and the service was beautiful from start to finish. In a time when rudeness and cold behavior have become so common, this place really restores your faith in people and humanity. Even the drawings and the message “Have a great summer and no wars” reflect the soul of this place. This is exactly the authentic Cretan experience we hoped to find. Love to our Cretan brothers and sisters. A true recommendation for everyone who wants to experience real Greek and Cretan cuisine, along with the kind of hospitality that is becoming rare today.
