Food bad, small portions and more expensive comparing with one next to this. Example octopus was extremely salty, small and we believe was something from can. No mai dish is served with side dish, not even a small salat like everywhere in Greece, you pay 17 euro for octopus and to the neighbor you pay 12 euro ( this include fries and small salat). Not recommend at all, go to the one which not look fancy, but food is excellent and 30-40% cheaper. Price per person: €30–35 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Before leaving the peninsula we made our way to this tiny village for lunch, and we could not be happier. We were greeted with a beetroot dip, tabbouleh and grilled bread. Which were accompanied by the vine leaves, marinated bonito and grilled sardines. As a treated the owner offered a scoop of the local yogurt ice-cream. Service was great and I would definitely recommend. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We’re back in Vathi, dining at Το Βαθύ tonight. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. To start, the beetroot was gorgeous and the grilled feta was delicious. My favourite — grilled bread with olive oil — was spot on. The grilled vegetables were very nice too, though it’s a shame they added balsamic. It looks pretty but, for me, it spoils the natural taste. Thankfully I found some “naked” aubergine underneath — stunning! The grilled octopus was very tasty and already sliced, which is unusual but saved me the effort. Cathy’s pork chop was as good as the one at Lemonaki (where she declared it the best pork chop ever!). Lisa had grilled chicken breasts again — cooked to perfection and still moist. The mixed souvlaki was tender and full of flavour. We did have to wait a bit for the mains — maybe I should have asked for the dishes to come out as they were ready. Overall, another lovely evening in Vathi with great food, warm hosts, and charming touches. Price per person: €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
