This is probably the most family friendly/ girls day out/ bring your momma in for lunch comforting business within a 30 mile radius! I’ll truthfully say that I met the family behind the business before I ever knew what a “toads” was. The owners son came into where I used to work and was dressed all silly he made sure to tell me that he had just came from a local parade promoting his family’s business. Of course being a past business owner myself I asked about the business. He proceeded to tell me about EVERYTHING Toads had. I then harassed him about the paninis they made and I wanted for the next few months! Until one day I FINALLY seen the frog hanging on the outside of the business ( that day my mother and I were running around with combined errands) so I treated her to lunch. Mind you, we have COMPLETELY different ideas of what is good, even more what we are allowed to eat. When we went into the business we immediately felt comfortable, mind u I’m 47 and my mother is in her 70s. There was people laughing and enjoying there food from strollers (she was so adorable) to well older than my mother, and we all laughed and converted like we were neighbors if not family. My mom LOVED her (in my eyes gross salad) fruit and nuts do not go on a salad lol she said it was the best salad she’s had in a long time. Me being on a strict food plan the quesadilla was amazing. I also that day decided to try a latte. Mind u I’ve never liked coffee.. now I make it a point daily to get my golden almond latte. They are by far my one go to on a daily basis if I want to feel at home while in the middle of a chaotic day! Give them a chance. They will tug on ur heartstrings to! Toad’s in Grand Ledge is a great spot for a mid-morning coffee break or a relaxed lunch. I was impressed with the friendly service and the fun, unique decor that gives the place a lot of character. It’s the kind of local place you enjoy recommending. As a local Realtor, I’m always looking for great Greater Lansing spots to share with my clients, and Toad’s is definitely one I’ll be suggesting. If you’re in Grand Ledge, it’s well worth stopping in. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Toads is my FAVORITE coffee shop! It’s such a vibe and where I meet with my friend who also is a business owner to discuss business. Their menu is so great and has so many delicious coffee options. The food is also good and relatively inexpensive. The staff is always extremely friendly and kind! 10/10 would always recommend.
