This restaurant is to be recommended for good bison meat, chili and chicken. A number of guests find that the staff is patient here. I don't love fast food, but I've wanted to try Tocabe since I saw it on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Usually, it's closed when we're flying out of Denver. This time, we were in luck. You choose a base, beans, protein, toppings, sause. For the base my boyfriend chose frybread, which was really tasty. I chose red quinoa & wheatberry. We both chose black beans and grilled chicken. The chicken was flavorful, tender and moist. We both had sweet corn and sour cream ancho Chipotle sauce. We were both very pleased with our lunches. If I went again, I'd probably also add the Osage hominy. I had the Pike's Peak Prickly Pear soda. I really enjoyed that as well. It was definitely sweet, but not overly sweet to me. One thing, though, is that it was $50 for lunch. Not sure of the pricing at the other location. I'd still say it's worth trying at least once.
