Located on Honcho Street, Tokairohonkan is an established Chinese restaurant in Funabashi, known for its hearty portions and popularity among both families and large groups. It's just a short walk from Funabashi Station, about five minutes on foot, making it a convenient dining option for locals and visitors alike. The restaurant offers meals for both lunch and dinner, seven days a week, from 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM.
Tokairohonkan prides itself on spacious private rooms, available for an additional fee, which makes it especially suitable for family gatherings or those dining with children. The reviews suggest that despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the restaurant has managed hygiene practices responsibly with temperature checks and hand sanitizers prominently present. However, the most recent customer feedback dates back two years, leaving a gap in current visitor perspectives.
As a traditional Chinese eatery, Tokairohonkan does not require patrons to order set courses to enjoy their private rooms, offering flexibility to choose from an à la carte menu once seated. For those with smaller appetites, it's worth noting that meal portions can be quite large. It's advisable for small parties to take this into account when ordering, considering the restaurant's noted popularity and the potential for wait times, especially on weekends without reservations.
