Without question, this is my favorite sushi restaurant in Tokyo and one of the main reasons I look forward to every trip to Japan. I make a point of dining here four or five times each time I’m in the city, which says everything about the consistency and quality of the experience. What sets this restaurant apart is its extraordinary balance of flavors. Every piece is crafted with remarkable precision, allowing the quality of the ingredients to shine while maintaining perfect harmony between texture, seasoning, and freshness. The sushi is incredibly flavorful without ever feeling overpowering a rare balance that reflects true mastery. Beyond the exceptional fish and impeccable technique, there is a level of refinement and attention to detail that elevates every meal. Whether it’s a classic nigiri or a more creative preparation, each bite feels thoughtfully composed and deeply satisfying. Tokyo is home to some of the world’s finest sushi restaurants, yet this remains the one I return to again and again. Consistently outstanding, unforgettable in flavor, and executed at the highest level, it is simply one of the best sushi experiences I have ever had.

It was the best sushi I’ve had in Tokyo, really. I liked it very very much. After these sushi others are already “just good”. It was a tiny place with just 5 seats available but, wow, both sushi and miso soup were incredible good. Highly recommended Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥9,000–10,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I have been living in Japan for 12 years and went to A LOT of sushi restaurants. Tomita sushi is definitely in my top 5. It would cost you 30,000 yen to get that quality in Tokyo. The chief and his wife are really nice. We went there with a 3 year old kid and it was perfectly fine. Highly recommended if you are in the region.
