I usually only leave reviews for positive reasons butjust finished a meal for Father’s Day at my husband’s request since he loves it here. Got the fried mozzarella starter. The lemon sauce it was sitting in had a very strange taste. As a family who LOVE fried mozzarella, none of us were fans. My husband’s glass of Nebbiolo had large floating debris that we were told was “sediment”. It definitely wasn’t sediment but he got another glass and we weren’t charged for it. Our main dishes (Sunday sauce and penne with spicy vodka sauce with chicken cutlet) were mediocre at best. With Rochester being a foodie town, there are much better options, especially for this price point. My husband’s food also came out 20 minutes after my dish and my son’s so we were done eating before he even got his food. Service was as good as it could be for what the staffing was but being on the patio wasn’t optimal on a holiday. Had to wait forever for boxing and even longer to close out the check. Over 2 hours start to finish. Too many other great places in this city to eat for this price ($150+). Won’t be back. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

Overall, we had a great experience. The food was excellent! I highly recommend the Chicken Caesar Salad and the Bee Sting pizza. Both were outstanding. The atmosphere was lively, the restaurant was clean, and our waiter, Mike, provided excellent service. He was attentive, friendly, and helped make the evening enjoyable. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is the staff dress code. The male staff were dressed professionally, but several of the female staff were wearing very tight leggings or yoga pants and low-cut tops that seemed more appropriate for a date night or nightclub than a nice restaurant. I think a more consistent, professional dress code for all employees would better match the quality and atmosphere of the restaurant. Every popular Italian restaurant was packed at night. Thankfully Tony D's has a spot by the bar and it has good reviews. Service is excellent and bartender checks on you constantly . Portion is huge. Meatballs appetize is like baseball size. I usually can finish appetizer and a main course by myself but I can't this time. Chicken Parmesan can feed a small Italian village. The tomato sauce they have is ok to me, taste like something you can get from the store. Maybe not enough herd or garlic, just not enough depth. I definitely will come back though; pizza and other pasta dishes look good. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
