Our first time ordering from here. The place was empty when I went to pick up my food. I set the order for 530pm pick up (I ordered it at 430pm online). I saw they prepared my food immediately instead of waiting until my 530 pick up time. I got there and the food was waiting at the counter. It was sitting out for awhile. The young lady was nice and friendly. The food wasn't that hot when I took it home because they made it immediately rather than prepare it closer to my scheduled pick up time. I placed order online 1 hour before my scheduled pick up time - they made my food immediately, online said ready for pick up bout 20 mins after I placed my order. I scheduled it for when I was able to get there, not for immediate pick up. Which concerned me for how long the food just sat on the counter. The pork was all fatty pieces. No meat. The broth and veggies were good. My roommate got horrible food poisoning from his fatty pork meal. He was violently sick to his stomach the next day. I ordered the spicy crispy chicken and didn't really eat mine. The pieces were weird shaped chicken chunks that were fatty and gross. The broth and veggies were good. I didn't finish mine and threw it out. The spring rolls weren't that good. Kinda wimpy. I threw them out. Potstickers were expensive for the quantity received. Second time here in Elgin, if I enjoy the food my first time, the second got better. Very quiet place, with a river view, close to a train station very centric. Friendly staff and delicious food. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
