Torabashi is a restaurant located on Kyojima Street in Tokyo, offering a variety of dining experiences. Known for its casual and budget-friendly atmosphere, it appeals to students and solo diners alike. Offering takeout, delivery, and dine-in options, it's a versatile spot for those seeking a quick bite or a more relaxed meal. Its menu features intriguing local instant ramen varieties and unique pre-packaged curries alongside traditional set meals, providing an unconventional dining twist that seems to capture the imaginations of its patrons.
The restaurant operates from Monday through Saturday with varying hours, extending into the evening on certain days from Wednesday to Saturday. While alcohol, including beer and bar snacks, is available, the establishment lacks wheelchair accessibility. Torabashi accommodates table service and is known for being group-friendly, making use of clever ideas to stand out. Customer interactions show that it's considered a comfortable space for longer stays, although recent first-hand accounts are limited to a year ago, which leaves some uncertainty regarding current operations.
Despite its no-frills approach, it is equipped with basic amenities like restrooms, and it accepts Rakuten Pay. With a warm yet simple setting, this eatery offers an array of small plates, catering to those looking for both variety and economy. As there is little current information directly from the owners, potential visitors might want to check or call ahead to confirm details before visiting.

The owner is incredibly friendly, the food is delicious, and the other customers are wonderfully talkative. We didn’t actually understand much of what each other was saying, but the smiles, the eye contact were real. The warmth between people easily crosses nationalities, cultures, and languages. Love doesn’t need translation. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥1–1,000
