The purpose of coming to Imari this time was to eat Imari beef. I chose "Toratama", a restaurant specializing in Imari beef, which is close to the hotel. I visited on a Sunday night without a reservation, so the place was fully booked. When I returned to the hotel, I waited and asked for a call when a seat became available, and I returned an hour later. I ordered the Imari beef set at a table. A three-piece set of premium skirt steak, premium loin, and fatty short ribs, each weighing 5 slices and 80g each. It's a rare part, but it's common. Charcoal-grilled yakiniku with seven wheels. The sauce is light. I asked for gochujang and garlic. I also ordered chanja and assorted vegetables. Drinks are bottled beer. I wanted Changja first, but the Kiwami set came first. All were soft and delicious. Additionally, I ordered a limited quantity of tongue and tongue mix. This is chewy and reasonably priced. It is said to be 120g, but it seems more likely. I usually eat bibimbap, but since I couldn't seem to finish it all, I had it with rice. The standard sake is Kirinzan from Niigata. We tasted Matsuura Ichi's cold sake, Miyazaki's sweet potato shochu with hot water, and Nonnoko black with hot water. When I asked the meaning of the store's name, "Toratama," the female staff member said, "It's Tora no Kin." It sobers me up (lol) If you want to eat Imari beef yakiniku at a reasonable price, Toratama is recommended. I think it's better to make a reservation. It was a feast.
