Beautiful location let down by poor service and management. We held our wedding reception at Hotel Torbahan in August after looking for a family-run, boutique style venue over a large hotel. When we first visited Hotel Torbahan, we fell in love with its stunning location and envisioned our perfect wedding day there. The beautiful setting and quality food initially made us feel we'd found something truly special. Sadly, what should have been the happiest day of our lives was marred by numerous issues that left us and our some of our loved ones feeling let down. Things got off to a bad start soon after signing our wedding contract. The hotel tried to add an unexpected 10% service charge and kept pushing for the fees throughout and after our celebration. Two of our guest families - people we care deeply about - had to scramble to find other accommodation despite us raising their booking problems months earlier. It was heartbreaking to see our friends and family dealing with broken air conditioning that never got fixed, excessive bar charges that blindsided our guests, and some services we'd specifically agreed were missed. Perhaps most upsetting was that our bridal suite was unusable due to AC problems, and our guests were uncomfortable when staff asked them directly for tips - even approaching me personally during our reception. We genuinely wanted to love and recommend this sweet hotel. We reached out privately first, hoping to get acknowledgment and validation at least, but received no response - which hurts even more than the original problems given the initial enthusiasm of the hotel owners. While most of our guests enjoyed the entertainment and make the best of the evening, these issues cast a shadow over what should have been a perfect celebration of our love. -Posted after no response from management to direct private feedback. Hotel Torbahan was everything I hoped for and more. The location is perfect, right by the sea with the most calming view. The staff were so kind and welcoming, and the whole place has such a peaceful, authentic vibe. My room was spotless and cozy, and the beach was always clean and quiet. I left feeling so relaxed and refreshed. I’ll definitely be coming back! Service: 5
