Tried this place today and was very disappointed. I’m a culinarian and the flavor was very good but my sandwich was impossible to eat. The bread was extremely hard and stale. For a $20 sandwich and chips it was very underwhelming! Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30

Little, to go only sandwich shop in NuLu. Sandwiches are served on 6" Ciabatta rolls and piled with meat. Flavors and tastes were great but the bottom half of the roll was hard as a rock. We split an Italian Beef and an Italian cold cut sandwich. The Italian Beef was juicy and softened up the hard roll. The Italian cold cut had a lot of thick red onion slices which sort of overpowered the sandwich. Either cut the onion paper thin or reduce the amount by half. Overall, the place was okay but with a few improvements to the rolls and onions it could be a 4-5 star place.

Torino's Sandwich Bar is a wonderful addition for lunch or dinner in the fun and funky NuLu neighborhood. Let me give you a few tips. If it is prime time you should call in your order. Torino's Sandwich Bar has a small footprint and quite often is very busy. They do a great job of cranking out the orders but if you don't want a wait call ahead solves that issue. If you want to sit down and eat there are tables behind the shop in the fabulous NuLu Marketplace. Last tip - Torino's is open Tuesday thru Sunday. Monday is a sad day if you are wanting Torino's for lunch or dinner. Plan accordingly. Torino's Sandwich Bar is a feast for the eyes in addition to a treat for the taste buds. My favorite is the 1-LB Italian Sub. Yes 1 LB! It is a monster sandwich with salami, mortadella, capicola, ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, giardiniera mayo and Torino's seasoning on an Italian roll! Take a breath and think about that! It is delicious. It makes 2 meals for me although I wouldn't judge if you ate the entire sandwich at one sitting. It takes willpower to only consume half! The roast beef sandwich is also delish. It is a mountain of rare roast beast - I mean beef. The shop also has sides but last tip is to grab a cannoli for dessert. They are a tasty treat.
