Toriten will hands-down be one of my best memories from Japan. The staff were friendly, the local patrons were friendly, and we felt right at home even though we only spoke very basic Japanese. We even got to participate in their karaoke session! Everything we ordered was delicious, too - drinks, skewers, chicken were all amazing. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000

Incredibly friendly owners, super fresh and tasty skewers. Local patrons also very welcoming. Willingness to karaoke is a plus!! One of my favourite experiences in Japan so far. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We went here on a Saturday night at 8pm just because it was close to where we were staying. Everyone inside was so excited, singing karaoke and having some drinks. We had a bunch of really good skewers and some good drinks too. We sang an English song on karaoke too and everyone was clapping and cheering along. Really great food, prices, and atmosphere. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000
