This place is more than a cafe, but like a family for their community. The staff is friendly and helpful. The owner is there often, and such a pleasure in a multitude of ways. They do many different motorcycle day/night events, and a wonderful ride yearly called Ride the Wind to raise awareness and donations for Center for Community Solutions to help victims of domestic violence. My profile picture is even from the Ride the Wind event, I think I look cute as an aviator too!  The place has good food - you should definitely try their waffles. Nom nom nom. The atmosphere gives off a homey and warm feeling. You may come for the food, but you really should stay for the people.

We've lived in North Park for so long and finally had a chance to try this place but sadly we doubt we will go back. The service was weird, as we were ordering the lady taking our order walked away and when we had to add something in the end we had originally said (of course she didn't hear it cause he randomly walked away) she had to make comments saying We hadn't said that and when we ordered coffee she felt the need to correct us and laugh like making fun of us and I personally do not stand that kind of "humor". The food was just okay but is nothing we will want to go back for. The place is nice I guess but I was thrown off by the service from the beginning and is possible that didn't let me fully appreciate anything else from that moment forward. I assume that's why they say " first impressions matter".

Came here for a quiet brunch because we had stopped once to appreciate its ambience from the street and to read the menu while walking around the neighborhood.  We were not prepared for how simple yet absolutely delicious our food was. I had the cheddar chicken sandwich and I was super impressed.  The ciabatta bread was the freshest, softest that I've ever had on a sandwich anywhere I have ever eaten.  The perfectly roasted chicken was well seasoned and juicy, and the quality cheddar was sheer melty deliciousness.  My partner had the scrambler - eggs, bacon and cinnamon toast.  He described it as the perfect version of the simplest breakfast he's ever had.   Our drinks, a hot hazelnut breve and an iced Vietnamese latte were perfect.  Clearly they were NOT made from the confusingly popular burnt shitty coffee beans, this coffee was delicious and able to shine through our sugary additions.   We'll be back for sure, and you should stop in and check out Torque Moto Cafe too!
