Total is trying to restore its brand image but is currently launching a destructive pipeline project in Uganda and Tanzania. The principle: heat an oil pipeline to 50°C over more than 1400 km. The beginnings of the project are already destroying havens of biodiversity in these two countries. Total is moving 100,000 people to build the necessary infrastructure: a fundamental obstacle to human rights. This project will emit, if it is carried out, 33 million tons of CO2 per year for 20 years, a real climate bomb while the temperature of the planet has already increased by 1.1°C. So STOP EACOP!
