Not as big as some TJ’s out there like Alexandria. But I’m grateful we have one so close to downtown. Always busy and fully stocked

Trader Joe's has outstanding coffee. The service is always friendly. I wish there was one closer to me in Altoona. The closest one is 45 minutes away in State college.

Sunday March 22nd 2026 I visited Trader Joe’s at 10741 Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD 20901 this morning (around 11:55 AM–12:00 PM) unfortunately i had a very disappointing experience. The cashier, Tracy, was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful from the moment I approached her register. Her attitude was cold, dismissive, and made me feel unwelcome as a customer. I was simply trying to pay for my items and even offered to help bag them, mentioning that I only needed one bag, but the way she responded was rude and unnecessary. Because of how uncomfortable the interaction became, I chose to take my items and move to another register. Tiffany, another employee, assisted me afterward and was very kind, professional, and even apologized for the situation. She represented the level of customer service I’ve always appreciated at Trader Joe’s. I am a regular customer and have always had positive experiences with the staff—cashiers, managers, and floor employees are usually friendly and helpful. That’s why this experience stood out so much. I expect basic respect when shopping at a place I regularly support, and this interaction did not meet that standard at all. I hope management addresses this, as it does not reflect the values Trader Joe’s is known for.
