Tj's has been my favorite grocery store since college (20yrs) and I leave this feedback with the best of intentions: I understand the community value of cashiers, but I am really tired of feeling slightly judged and periodically perceiving passively snarky experiences that have become more common after covid. There is no way around this. I now only shop at Tj's when I can deal with... possibly being judged. Otherwise, I go to a grocery that offers self-checkout. After today, I just don't feel like returning.

Probably the nicest Trader Joe’s I’ve been to. This is the location you check when an item is sold out elsewhere—it’s always well-stocked. The bathrooms are clean and actually smell fresh, and the plant section is especially inviting, with healthy, lush displays that are hard to walk past. I constantly see staff restocking, and everyone is genuinely pleasant. Trader Joe’s is known for friendly cashiers, but this branch stands out—they take the time to acknowledge customers, which really sets the tone for the store. It feels welcoming and comfortable from start to finish. This location is also very kid-friendly. You don’t even have to ask for stickers—they offer them, and there’s a chest of free lollipops for the kids. I especially loved the “seek-and-find” mini game, which makes shopping fun for the whole family. TJ’s Springfield is a cut above the rest—truly above and beyond. Highly recommend.

This Trader Joe's is very convenient. The staff is always friendly and personable. I needed some bills broken into smaller denominations, and they happily did so. We like shopping at this particular location because it's always well stocked.
