We went to this restaurant for lunch because I had seen some very good reviews. We chose the starter/first course/dessert menu and honestly I was a little disappointed. The appetizer includes a series of hot appetizers that I found a bit monotonous. First we had the tagliatelle with nettles which were too al dente, you couldn't even roll them up on your fork. It's a shame because the ragù was good. The portion is also small. I saw a meat dish ordered à la carte pass by but it was plentiful. As well as a very nice cold cuts platter. Maybe we would have avoided the fixed price menu which still cost €28 each. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €30–40 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

We were passing through Ormea and thought it best to see if there was room at Trattoria Il Borgo, yes, there was just a table for 2. The owner is always exceptionally kind and helpful, ravioli with fondue, braised meat in red wine, rosbif and baked new potatoes, wine and dessert. All delicious , See you soon Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

A super little restaurant, welcoming staff, terrific food with a very much local influence and a decent selection of wines. Not to be missed if you're in Ormea.
