We got around to trying the food here just recently, and we were not disappointed. Food was superb, great atmosphere, we had a wonderful time. The highlight of our meal was the seared NJ scallops. We will be back again soon. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I really wanted to like this local restaurant. We started off on meal with an appetizer that was meatballs with melted mozzarella on top. However, the cheese was only partially melted and when we removed the cheese we were able to see that the meatballs had been burned in a couple of places. Our second appetizer was an excellent buratta cheese with prosciutto and a tomato jam. Which we thoroughly enjoyed. Last up was a margarita pizza. Which we found was pretty salty and more cheese than any tomato and just a couple of pieces of basil. Parts of our meal or a solid 10 and other parts were pretty solid zero. I think we must have just hit this on an off night because when I look at the other pictures people have posted. This place looks great. I guess we'll keep hunting for a good local Italian restaurant. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

The illustrious & rare 5-star review for Trattoria Dinicco for a ton of reasons & a few being their incredibly helpful service, the friendly staff, open kitchen, amazing owner-operator & of course the perfect out-of-this-world dishes!!! First, not the most pleasant way to stumble upon Trattoria Dinicco -- we actually went to the pasta shop down the street, however, they had a 2-hr wait & although they have good food, it's not worth 2-hrs. So we called up Trattoria Dinicco & they happened to have one final table for us! Not to our surprise, it was actually packed & we were still greeted with smiling faces, the staff did not seem overwhelmed & the hostess promptly took us to our table! Now their menu isn't huge but even for the most picky of eaters, there's still something you can chew on here at Trattoria Dinicco!! And if you're wondering, they don't have a full bar, they are BYOB & they do have Unionville Vineyards wine on site. I started with the summer buratta which is Arugula / Grilled Peaches / Farro / Lettuce / Tomato / Strawberry White Balsamic Vinaigrette / Fresh Burrata -- it alone had me already at 5-stars for this review but it just gets better with every bite & subsequent entree, I'm not even kidding! Then to share we indulged in the truffle mushroom pizza which has caramelized Onion/Truffle Honey/ Roasted Garlic Oil/Ricotta/Fresh Mozz -- also fantastic out for this world! Then for entrees, just some awesome recommendations (which is basically their entire menu) the Bucatini and Clams, chicken parm, eggplant parm & my personally favorite which were cooked to perfection, the Seared NJ Scallops -- which being from NJ is awesome that they are locally sourced down the jersey-shore!!! As for ambiance, they are ridiculously clean, enough space for the staff to navigate amongst the tables, ample seating for even larger parties down to even intimate dinner dates -- there are a lot of dividers for even more privacy which is always a plus! All in all, Trattoria Dinicco gets the 5 star review for all of those reasons & more -- thanks again to the entire team & we cannot wait to be back very very soon!
