Besides the fact Ayrton Senna used to have meals in this place, which per se would make it a special place, Trattoria Romagnola is a special restaurant because of its people and food! Owned by the Liverani brothers, Giovanni leads the kitchen and Paolo is the one in the frontline, serving customers and literally keeping the restaurant’s pace. Paolo is a special person special character for me. I have been traveling from Austria to Castel San Pietro Terme since 2017 to taste different dishes from the cuisine of Trattoria Romagnola - all good! Salads, pastas (especially Spaghetti al Torchio), grilled meat (salsiccia, pancetta, fegato, contra filetto, castrato), fishes well prepared and tasty. Staff is quite gentle as well. Every trip resulted in a great gastronomic experience and a plan to return, soon. By the way, make a reservation in advance! Ci vediamo Paolo.
