The food was ridiculously good without ever feeling like "junk food" I left feeling light and ready to party even after a 3 course meal. I make it my mission to find an exclusively vegan restaurant in every city I visit. This can be a challenge in the BBQ city of St Louis. But I was delighted to find Tree House Restaurant in the electric and charming South Grand district. I enjoyed a quiet meal on Friday evening around 5:30. Outside seating was busy so I took seat inside near a window. Another review mentioned stacked chairs and sticky tables. There were no stacked chairs. The tables are sticky but not because they’re not clean. It’s the shellac coating. It’s a lovely restaurant with an open kitchen and attentive staff. I started with a refreshing lemonade and the Krab Rangoons which were tasty and generously portioned. For the entree I had the vegan loaf with mashed potatoes. A good comfort food that didn’t disappoint. If I return to St Louis I plan to dine again at Tree House!
