We went to this cafe 16 years ago and again in 6/2026. Breakfast and pastries were great. Coffee was great but the iced latte in the afternoon was not good, they put a little cold coffee and mostly milk (1/3 cup was coffee and 2/3 was milk). May be they do not get used people ordering large iced latte. We I had avocado toast with egg and salmon and the teenage kids had pancakes with strawberries and waffle with strawberries for breakfast. They all tasted great and the strawberries were fresh. We had sit-down breakfast in the cafe and the server was patience for us/foreigners. Roma style cannoli was crunchy and the cream was sweet and creamy. The cafe is located right across from the Roma central train station so expect liveliness. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I am extremely angry and disappointed with my experience at Caffè Trombetta. The food was good, but one male staff member, who appeared to be from Bangladesh, completely ruined the experience with his unbelievably rude and disrespectful behaviour. I was polite and did absolutely nothing to deserve the way he spoke to me. His attitude was unacceptable and completely unprofessional. What disappointed me even more was that he did not seem to show basic respect even towards his own colleagues. Good food means very little when customers are treated with this kind of attitude. I left feeling extremely uncomfortable and disappointed. Management seriously needs to address this kind of behaviour. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Other Price per person: €10–20
