Ordered the 2 meat plate with smoke Turkey and burnt ends, as they were out of sliced brisket. I was charged an extra $2.79 for the world’s worst burnt ends, they tasted like a rubber, cardboard combination covered in salty bbq sauce and that’s being generous. The turkey was, at best, ok. I had the brisket beans and Serrano corn bread for my 2 sides, neither one of them were worth writing home about. Definitely, would not recommend and will not be returning. Edit: I went to H-E-B, after work in Georgetown, TX to get my refund, only for them to inform me they could not give me a refund without a receipt. I was told if I went to an H-E-B with a Texas BBQ they would be able to refund my order. So I obliged and went to the closest H-E-B with a True Texas BBQ (store 781) only for the store to tell me they couldn’t refund me either. Wasted my time and money driving to these stores and they didn’t even try to remedy the situation; awful customer service. I guess the jokes on me haha thanks for the run around H-E-B. True Texas is one of our favorite BBQ spots and we've tried alot! We love them so much we got them to cater our wedding last weekend. They did a phenomenal job! Lilly was great at assisting us with the whole process and the staff was very professional. Our guests loved our dinner! It was absolutely delicious! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The brisket itself is very tasty. The sides are overpriced and not worth it. We ordered 8 large sides- 2 mac and cheese, 2 potato salad, 2 Cole slaw and 2 beans. It was such a waste because we only finished the slaw. The Mac and cheese was so dry and seemed old- not creamy at all and the flavor was just off. The potato salad was okay but not for that price.
