At this bar, order perfectly cooked pork chops, tomato soup and bison meat. If hungry, come here for tasty key lime pie, biscuits and crème brûlée. Try good bourbon, red sangria or house wine. Great coffee will make your meal tastier and you'll surely come back.

You can listen to live music in the evening. The staff is said to be cheerful here. Truffle Pig is notable for its terrific service. Here you will pay reasonable prices. Had a great time dining here for 3 out of my 5 nights while in Steamboat. I only intended to go there one night for dinner but the food and staff were too good to pass up! Ashley in particular was the one who took care of me from behind the bar each night and was extremely friendly and welcoming. She took the time to talk to me and get to know me as well as was always checking in on me or even simply making the effort to acknowledge me when she passed by. All of the other employees were great as well! Even though I was being served by Ashley other bartends and severs asked me how I was doing when they came behind the bar. The food and drinks were also some of the best I’ve had in Steamboat as well and are definitely worth the price for the quality and amazing presentation. During my three visits there I had the Scallops, Scottish Salmon, and Halibut and while all were 5 star meals the salmon was definitely my favorite as it’s my favorite type of fish. I originally intended to visit a different restaurant with my family on the last night of the trip but when Ashley mentioned the Halibut to me after remembering I had seafood the previous 2 visits I couldn’t pass up the recommendation. I would give service less than one star if I could. Sitting at the bar, we had three bartenders pass us by for 10 minutes. Finally a bartender placed menus in front of us and walked away. After another 10 minutes, the bartender at the other end noticed we didn’t have any drinks and what looked to be an internal struggle of wanting to serve a customer but not wanting to interfere with his fellow bartender’s section, continued to ignore us until finally, I could order and get a glass of wine. We ordered an appetizer which came promptly but had no silverware, napkins or plates. With this experience so far, we opted to leave and find another restaurant to spend $200 on dinner for two. Clearly, service is not a priority at the Truffle Pig and I would guess it’s because the location is great and many a tourist will give it a try regardless of the poor reviews. Think twice. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
