Right after visiting Asakusa, come here for a meal. Enjoy Japanese cuisine at this restaurant. The cooks here prepare tasty okonomiyaki, pork and yakisoba. Order nicely cooked pancakes. Most likely, you'll come back to Tsurujiro later to try good beer.
It's easy to find this place due to its convenient location. The patient staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. Spectacular service is something guests like here. Well you would probably walk straight passed as not so much clue there is a restaurant here as it seems quite discreet from the outside and stood outside after using Google Maps, still dudnt know we were in the right place.. perhaps because we can't read Japanese! Had to start a queue at lunch-time once we established we were as all tables taken.. but well worth the short wait, The Okonomiyakis were indeed delicious, once we had decided on a slight departure from the standard 'recipe' and opted for a curried cheese version and a pork, spring onion, noodle and egg one. We shared both and really enjoyed washed down with a draft beer . Upstairs, it was shoes off and sat on 'floor chairs', with a footwell under the table but the decor upstairs was virtually non existent (hence the loss of star for atmosphere) and the walls in need of a fresh coat of paint! But dont let that put you off, if it is Okonomiyaki you are after, you wont be disappointed! Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

My first visit here to Asakusa Tsurujirou We came on a weekday during lunch hour (12+ noon) and it was not too crowded. We were warmly greeted by the staff and they were very helpful as we could not understand Japanese. We enjoyed the food here and it was a lovely experience! Will recommend this child-friendly restaurant
