Nestled on Jalan King, Tuck Kee in Ipoh is a Chinese restaurant that extends a warm welcome to families and groups, accommodating both reservations and takeout. This versatile eatery is particularly noted for its ability to cater well to both children and larger groups of diners. While specifics about the ambiance or pricing are sparse, it offers an assortment of traditional Chinese dishes to explore.
Highlighting the culinary experience, visitors frequently mention a homemade savory salad, noted for its unique combination of vegetables, mango, melon, cuttlefish chips, dried shrimp, and a savory sauce—deemed memorable by guests. The menu also features a variety of options like roast duck and steamed egg with century egg and salted egg, which appear to resonate well with diners. However, feedback does suggest that some items may occasionally vary in quality, such as the siew cheong, which has sometimes been less tender than expected.
Tuck Kee opens its doors daily from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM and then again from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM, catering to both lunch and dinner service. At present, there are no updated remarks from the owner reflecting any changes, shifts, or additional insights about the restaurant since last year's review. Therefore, potential patrons might appreciate firsthand inquiries into new offerings or modifications. Despite this, Tuck Kee remains a visited spot for those interested in sampling Chinese cuisine in the heart of Ipoh.

Came by after seeing so many positive reviews, and it certainly lived up to the hype. Starting with the roasts — the duck had beautifully crispy skin while the meat remained tender and flavorful. The roast pork was equally impressive, with a crackling skin that clearly reflected the effort and technique in preparation, creating those perfect little pores for that signature crunch. The vegetables were fresh, sweet, and retained a satisfying crunch. The shark fin soup was decent, though not the most memorable I’ve had. The standout dish, however, was the hor fun — silky, rich, and packed with wok hei. It was so good that it has officially set a new benchmark for hor fun for me. First time dining here despite passing by every time as a local tourist xD Overall all the dishes meet my expectation, reasonably priced with good portion, my family members seems enjoy the pork knuckle alot but the herbs taste is nice ;) Duck is the superior choice compares to other like roast pork and sausages. It is very juicy and soft, well executed ;) Will come back again for sure ;) Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: RM 40–60 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
