Great decor and ambiance. My second time here. The food is solidly good and the wine selection is fabulous. I wouldn't say the food is 'incredible' but it is better than good. The steak was very well prepared but the fish soup was pumpkin soup with a little bit of fish. Staff are great and helpful and it's a perfect place to hang out and enjoy an evening with friends. Not cheap though 7000 for 4 with only two glasses of wine. Worth it....yes because the company and atmosphere. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: NT$1,400–1,600 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This was my first time trying Portuguese food in Taipei, and I actually enjoyed it quite a lot. Since I don’t have other places to compare it with, my opinion might not be very accurate, but the food was tasty overall. My favorite dishes were the chicken and the crab risotto, both were flavorful and comforting. The restaurant has a nice, cozy atmosphere and is a good place for a relaxed meal. That said, I do feel the price is a bit too high for what it is, so it’s probably more suitable for an occasional visit rather than regular dining. My family and I chose Tuga to have our NYE celebration meal because of its homely vibes and good food. The restaurant was adorned with different items Carlos (the owner) picked up from his travels and paintings were made by his friend - all contributing to a homey atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed every dish we ordered - our favourite was the cow tongue stew and chocolate mousse for dessert. We also really appreciated that Carlos took the time to share different details about each dish and more about how the restaurant came to be. We could taste those stories through each dish.
