Well after a long wait we decided to finally try Tumble 22. Every time we had gone by there was a long line, but not today, and now I know why. We had, in my opinion, a very simple order. 2 southern chicken sandwich’s, 1 hot and one mo hot. A side of fries, coleslaw and bbq beans and an order of deviled eggs, plus 2 drinks. We where the only ones in the drive Thur the entire time we where there. It took about 10 minutes for them to bring out my order. I had noticed when going over the receipt that when using my card it charged an 18% gratuity on the order. I asked the server about this when he finally brought out our order and he said that their machine does this automatically. That was a huge strike. I don’t think anyone who it just handing you your order at a drive through should be getting a tip, but that’s me. But as for them to automatically charge me that to me is just them saying let me see if I can get away with taking extra money from this sucker. As we are driving away we decided to eat our fries while they where hot since it is about 15 minutes to the house. The fries where lukewarm and where not anything to write home about, especially since an order about the size of a McDonald’s med fry cost $5, and no where near as good as McDonald’s. When we arrived home we discovered that they had forgotten to put in the coleslaw I had ordered. Now if they where busy I might be able to forgive the oversight, but with us being the only ones there it in my opinion is inexcusable especially since he order taker read my order back to me twice. Now as far as the chicken sandwich goes it was really good but for the price of more that doubled what a sandwich at Popeyes cost it’s not worth making the trip there again. The bbq beans went bad and the deviled eggs where very plain. All in all an experience that I will not repeat and I can now see why there was absolutely no one else there in a Saturday at lunchtime. I had very high hopes for Tumble 22 but alas they are a total bust. Hope this review helps anyone trying to decide to go or not or at the very least gets Tumble 22 management to take a look at what there are doing.
