I ordered caesar salad and waited 35 minutes for it to arrive. No apology or remark from the mute deliverer. The "salad" was just lettuce. No tomato, onion, egg,etc, so not a salad. Normally, the chicken is cut into pieces or at least into strips. The bacon is normally cut into small pieces and mixed with the salad. Instead, the slab of chicken was plonked on the lettuce and covered with bacon. The presentation was very unappealing. Also the dressing was very minimal. A very disappointing lunch and expensive at £18. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Sorry that your visit didn’t meet expectations. Our chicken supreme is always cooked fresh to order (and is never precooked to speed things up) so at busy times it can take a while but usually this is around 20/25 minutes, if you were in a rush this should have communicated to you. Our Caesar salad follows the classic recipe and as our menu states - includes baby gem lettuce, freshly cooked chicken, bacon, Parmesan, croutons and Caesar dressing (although we omit the anchovies). Traditionally, a Caesar salad doesn’t contain ingredients such as tomato, egg or onion, although we appreciate that you have different expectations.We feel that a freshly cooked whole chicken breast on a bed of Caesar Salad looks delicious so we are sorry that you don’t agree.Also it’s a shame that you felt 1/5 was necessary for the staff who are doing their best during what was likely a very busy shift.

Karen and the guys from the Turks Head ran the bar in the War Memorial Town Hall during our wedding reception in May 2025. They did a fantastic job as they were able to source some shots that we particularly wanted as well as arranged for a particular real ale to be on tap that the father of the bride wanted. During the wedding breakfast the guys were constantly visiting the tables and keeping our guests wine glasses topped up. They gave out arrival and toast drinks also. Everyone was so friendly, it was greatly appreciated. Myself and my wife Emma are exceptionally grateful so thank you Karen and the bar staff from Turks Head. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
