The inside of the fortress is being renovated, so just a quick look at the courtyard. The road to the fortress is under repair. A beautiful fortress that is worth a visit if you are in Vis. Beautiful views. Atmosphere: 5

As a wedding planner I think good management and staff at the venue are so important for good results. We as planners can only do so much to make things run smoothly, and it's a team effort. In Fort George we have the best experience out of all the venues in Croatia. The management is focused, organized and approachable. We can always count on them to deliver a perfect service. The service staff is polite, fast, and very professional. All our clients notice that the servers are top notch, and comment on it. The clients really see the value for their money at Fort George, and for me as a planner this is extremely important. The venue is very well maintained and clean, the sound system is so good it's hard to recreate it elsewhere. The staff we bring with us to Fort George (such as DJs, florists, photographers etc.) are always well taken cared off by the staff from Fort George. We had clients with special requests that were all met within reason from the management in Fort George, it meant a lot to us since they helped us create the perfect weddings for our clients. For every request and inquiry, we received a clear and fast answer from Ivona, and she was always easy to talk to and responsive. Nebojša helped us tackle some of the bigger challenges with patience and reason. There was no request too wild that wasn't considered by the management. Our minds are at ease each time we work in Fort George because whatever happens we have all the staff that's here to help us and deliver the best service every time. This is not something you can say about a lot of places in Croatia. From the food, the drinks to the service, in Fort George we can count on the best of the best in Croatia. Beautiful view, but not too good restaurant. If you eat gluten free dont even think about going.
