The salsa actually had some spice! The food was good and plenty. The queso actually had peppers in it. They were friendly and didn't rush us or anything. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Queso, Burrito

Disappointing Experience at Two Amigos Taqueria in Waxahachie, TX My recent visit to Two Amigos Taqueria in Waxahachie left me extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. The problems started right at the entrance, as I struggled with a partially locked door, which should have been an indication of what was to come. Upon entering, I was greeted by friendly staff, although their words were lost in the excessively loud music. Despite this, we found a table that appeared suitable, only to discover it was covered in food remnants. Touching someone else's pre-chewed food was utterly repulsive. Thankfully, the staff member offered to clean the table, and with the overpowering smell of industrial disinfectant, we tried to move past this initial setback. Our drink order was taken promptly, but the volume of the music made it difficult to communicate. After requesting a lower volume, the staff complied, allowing for more comfortable conversation. The chips provided were acceptable, but the salsa roja was excessively salty, rendering it nearly inedible. Even the salsa verde lacked flavor and consistency, failing to redeem the salsa experience. Moving on to the main course, I ordered the Parillada for two, the most expensive item on the menu. Sadly, it did not live up to its price or the restaurant's supposed reputation. Every element of the dish seemed drenched in dry chili powder, overpowering any other flavors present. The shrimp, on the other hand, was disappointingly bland. The accompanying rice and beans were dry and lacking in taste. Although the flour tortillas initially appeared fresh, they quickly turned hard and stale. While the service was commendable, the overall quality of the food left much to be desired. I even inquired if the server had tried the salsa or food, but she admitted she hadn't. It's disheartening to see such positive reviews for a place that falls so short of its promises. Given my experience, I cannot recommend Two Amigos Taqueria until they address the issues with their food. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
