I did not notice that Czechs were not welcome. But why is there one chef in a restaurant in such a place if he can't keep up? Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: Kč 300–400 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

A very nice restaurant with Italian dishes. The service was very nice and incredibly quick. The food was very tasty, the portions were good. By the way, there was also a very good non-alcoholic beer. The prices were typical for Prague but ok. A real little pearl for our taste. We sat outside on the small guest terrace, very comfortable. Full marks, clear recommendation. U Zeleného Krále, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the city, truly delivers a dining experience unlike any other. As soon as you step foot into this quaint establishment, you are transported to a bygone era of elegance and sophistication. The name itself, which translates to "At the Green King," hints at the regal and antique ambiance that awaits you. Walking through the doors, I was immediately struck by the enchanting atmosphere that surrounded me. Soft, warm lights bathed the interior in a gentle glow, illuminating the rich collection of historical artifacts and currency displays that adorned the walls. The careful attention to detail in the decor truly evoked a sense of nostalgia, making it clear that U Zeleného Krále is a place with a deep appreciation for history and the stories it carries. On the culinary front, my friend and I decided to indulge in some classic comfort food: spaghetti and pizza. To our amazement, the dishes arrived at our table in record time, clocking in at just around 15 minutes. This was all the more impressive considering the low density of patrons during our visit, allowing us to relish a quieter and more intimate dining experience. It's worth noting that the rapid service didn't compromise the quality of the food; each bite of the expertly prepared dishes was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication. One of the highlights of our visit was undoubtedly the graciousness of the staff. The personnel at U Zeleného Krále were not only attentive and accommodating, but they also exuded a genuine warmth that made us feel right at home. Their knowledge of the menu and their willingness to assist with recommendations and adjustments further enhanced the overall dining experience. As for pricing, U Zeleného Krále strikes a commendable balance between the quality of the experience and the cost. Given its prime location in the city center, the prices were reasonable and fell well within the expected range. It's clear that the establishment values offering value for money without compromising on the caliber of service and ambiance. During our visit on the 23rd of July, 2023, U Zeleného Krále left an indelible mark on our culinary journey. It's a place that effortlessly weaves together a captivating antique atmosphere, swift service, delectable dishes, and a kind-hearted staff. Whether you're seeking a romantic evening, a leisurely meal with friends, or simply a retreat into the past, U Zeleného Krále beckons with open arms and a promise of an unforgettable experience.
