After a long walk around Teramachi, go to UFO and have a rest here. This place serves good ice cream and perfectly cooked chocolate custard. This place is famous for delicious iced coffee or great chocolate frappe.

I’ve been to this place several times and it’s honestly a very original spot. The decoration is simple, but it completely matches the identity and vibe of the restaurant. The ice cream quality is really good, and I have a huge soft spot for the banana flavor. Same for the drinks menu, everything sounds amazing and makes you want to come back to try more. However, the biggest downside for me is clearly the service. The waitresses always felt very cold and not welcoming at all. And this isn’t just me being a gaijin face, but because every time I came I was with Japanese friends, and they felt exactly the same way. It’s honestly a shame because places with such a cool concept and good products deserve a team that makes the experience feel enjoyable too. A little more warmth and better service would make a huge difference.

I’ve been here multiple times and this place is such a vibe. The ice cream is SO good esp the salt milk and olive oil. The staff are really friendly and the music is tasteful. It’s hard to come by this kind of concept in Japan so I love coming here to wind down. I also appreciate the non alcoholic options! Don’t listen to the negative reviews

Disappointing and Unfair Service** We booked a visit to UFO KYOTO at 10 pm for a group of four. Despite ordering for four people, we initially received only one serving. When we pointed this out, they brought only one more, insisting we order drinks to get the rest, which felt like a money grab. Additionally, we ordered a birthday cake that was never given to us but was served to another group instead. The service was disappointing and felt discriminatory. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
