Very disappointed in the butter chicken. Chicken was cooked well but the sauce itself was super watery, not blended or puréed, and not spiced well at all. Water with a hint of tomato possibly in it somewhere. Naan was dry as well. Portion size was also not worth $21.75. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30

Our apologies that the item did not meet your standards. Please note that the butter sauce does not have cashew blended in for our food policy reasons of allergen avoidance. The usual restaurant style of butter sauce is a filtered cream of the sauce that is smooth. Ours is home style and does not filter out after blending. It will be grainy. We are not worried about the watery or not spiced comment as we are well aware that is not the case. It is mild spiced as mentioned in the menu. Thank you for your review. We appreciate your comment. However, this batch had a bit low salt and the broth from the chicken diluted the thickness. We did a review on what happened. Our honest apologies. Kindly give a call or send us the order details like time and what ordered etc. We shall refund.

We happened upon UNNI’s during a sunny spring bike ride along the Tommy Thompson Trail on a quiet Sunday afternoon. It was the perfect place to slow down and refuel, and we had a great experience. The beef curry and parotta were excellent, as was the mango lassi. Service was quick, and Unni (?) himself was warm and generous, sharing a bit of his knowledge about South Indian cooking, ingredients, and spices. The food is clearly made with care and intention. Flavors are fresh, balanced, and well worth slowing down for. Unni mentioned he may be moving locations soon, so keep an eye out for where he lands. Meal type: Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was among Unni's first customers when they opened. I love curry it is one of my weaknesses. I don't think anyone else in town does authentic Indian curry. I'm not personally a fan of cream, butter or dairy but Ummi was happy to leave that part out. The result was a lunch that was very healthy and bursting with flavor-- very similar to the family owned Indian restaurants in the Lynwood area. I strongly recommend you get the flat bread because that puts the fire out and brings everything into balance. Such provides just the right amount of spice. Fast food doesn't have to be unhealthy. Little Chicago is a fun place for dogs and kids to hang out and enjoy the sun. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
