I was brought here by my cousin who is an Osaka native, place came highly recommended and was told we could be waiting because of how popular it is. Queue didnt take too long so we got to sit down after maybe 5-10 mins although i have read it could be hours sometimes. The unagi is quite different to what i have tasted before, the eel is crispy and the sauce a bit saltier than sweet. For the price its good value. According to my cousin it’s been around for 150 years so the place looks a little run down or kept traditional. It’s got a unisex bathroom so heads up. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Since I had a day off from work, I visited Unafuji, a restaurant that I had been interested in for a long time. I arrived at the store around 11:30 on a Monday, and there was already a long line even though it was a weekday. Waited about 30 minutes before entering the store. I ordered a large eel bowl [special] (with soup and pickles) (+50 yen). Even though it was a large portion, it was 50 yen more, so I paid a lot more for it, and it turned out to be quite a portion of rice. It might have been better if it was a normal serving. I had the impression that the eel meat itself was a little thin, but the crispy skin and plump meat mixed with the sweet, thick, but somewhat light-tasting sauce (in my personal opinion) made it very delicious. It was. It was a shop where I was satisfied with the long line. Thank you for the meal.
