Ive gone a couple times now and they have pretty good food. The staff are all really friendly and nice and will try to chat with you. Their sausages are really good as well as the french toast. Union Cafe is a good place with many food options from various cuisines. There was some stench inside the restaurant the day we went, so we decided to sit out. There were too many flies in the outdoor area, so just note that before you make the decision. The staff was very friendly and refilled my coffee multiple times. The wait time was too long for the food, the staff would calm you down every now and then with some update. The food was good. We are happy you enjoyed your food, I’m sorry you felt the need to sit outside not sure what you were smelling as no one brought anything to our attention, we are a small facility and often when food with garlic or corned beef being cooked is being prepared in the back the smell can carry up front even with the hoods and it’s not to say that some customers have requested dark toast and unfortunately that also can carry upfront even with the hoods. Unfortunately we are also not able to do anything about outside flies or bees as in they are attracted to food and as with most outdoor areas this can be a battle we aren’t easily able to fix. Please always feel free to mention a concern to our staff as we are always willing to try to come up with a possible solution. Depending on how busy we are we do have a small kitchen so being everything is made fresh to order it can take some time if you are in a hurry again please let the staff know so they can advise.
