Once the promenade around the Nanz Village is over, visit Uosuke. If you want to try Japanese cuisine, get your chance and come to this restaurant. But Uosuke is not highly appreciated by Google users who assigned it a below average rating.

After walking around a bit, most of the restaurants in the area were fully booked. I happened to walk by this place and peaked inside. I was welcomed inside even with my four young kids. Food, beer, and simple conversation with the owners was great. The owners seemed a bit shy talking to us adults but what stood out most was how well the owners treated my kids with origami toys and playfulness. The experience was as if they were grandparents and my kids have known them all their lives. I would definitely visit this place again when we decide to visit Shimoda.
