Had the best first experience at Upperroom!! We’ve been meaning to try it since we saw it was opening and finally got a chance to make it in. First, the atmosphere was so calm and welcoming, they really did a fabulous job with updating the interior and had such well thought out details. The bathrooms were clean and new and the tables and booths were comfortable. The place was not too crowded when we walked in but they still quoted a 15 minute wait which was more than okay, it seemed that they were pacing the tables so that we would be given the best service available and we absolutely got that! We were given our table after a quick wait and were greeted by our server Chris, who couldn’t have been more of a pleasure, so personable and funny. We placed our order and he was very helpful with a few modifications we needed and went above and beyond to take our dietary restriction into consideration to ensure we got the best meal! Our drinks came out quickly and were perfectly crafted! With all the fancy lattes out there these days, the coffee part is usually comprised, not these! They had such a rich coffee flavor but also had a fun twist to them. Both my husband and I got different types of lattes and my husband also got a fresh squeezed grapefruit juice that even I enjoyed (I usually don’t love grapefruit flavored things). Next came our food which was near perfect!! Everything was seasoned so well and each bite was better than the last! Portions were hearty even though we scraped our plates clean. We truly enjoyed everything about this family run restaurant! You can tell they take pride in their food and their coffee and we can’t wait to come back and try everything else they have to offer! Want out to lunch here with a group of friends. The food and service is excellent! Each dish was fresh, flavorful and filling. They have a good selection of cafe drinks as well. It is a very calm atmosphere with light instrumental music, which is perfect for conversation. The interior is also beautiful! I would definitely come here again the next time I am in the area! The Upperroom Commons is an excellent brunch option in Boonton. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is clean and warm, and the service is spectacular. Sonia was a touch of class- communicated well when to expect food and was kind and engaging to our 4 year old. Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
