The upstairs bar at the pier is normally great but on this occasion, it was just terrible in every way. The staff don't follow policies and instead pick and choose especially when it comes to ID where I've seen the same employee not ID someone who looked about 16 - before I even got in the bar area, I was approached passive aggressively by an employee who I can only assume was a supervisor who proceeded to be demanding and rude before I even got to the bar or had a chance to sit down. When I got up to the bar, I was served by a different employee who was great and had a polite manner and was told the other employee is more senior and was unsure how I could complain due to there not being a manager around. Overall, a disappointing experience considering it's normally great but on this occasion, it was horrible and I sincerely hope the employee gets re-trained on how to deal with customers.
