If you want an upscale, authentic Hanwoo (premium Korean beef) dining experience in Seoul that goes beyond crowded tourist spots, Woosu (우수) in Gongdeok is an absolute masterpiece. It is conveniently located right outside Gongdeok Station Exit 2 and offers free parking for 3 hours. Plus, since it’s situated right in the heart of central Seoul, it’s incredibly convenient to head over to other popular districts like Hongdae, Mangwon, Gwanghwamun, Yeouido, or Sangam right after your meal. What sets Woosu apart is its exceptional privacy. The interior beautifully blends modern luxury with traditional Korean vibes, and every single table is a completely private room. It creates a quiet, intimate atmosphere perfect for dates, family gatherings, or business meetings. They even offer a free corkage service for your own wine. We tried the Lunch C Course, featuring top-tier 1++ Hanwoo. Every single dish was a work of art. The meal started with a comforting beef and chicken porridge, followed by three unique bite-sized appetizers, including a savory bulgogi sand and sweet shrimp on crispy seaweed. The juicy shiitake mushroom stuffed with minced shrimp and the refreshing abalone with five-color gardenia noodles were also incredible highlights. The star of the show was the 1++ Hanwoo. They set up an elegant mini-brazier at your table, allowing you to grill the beautifully marbled beef yourself at your own pace. The meat literally melted in my mouth with a rich flavor. To finish, a traditional setting with a savory seasonal fish pot rice was served, followed by a refreshing dessert. Impeccable service and top-tier quality—this place is worth every penny!
