First time here today. Chef and her husband treated my MIL respectfully (dementia). Took her down memory lane as they were from the same province as her. Food was great and very much like eating at home for us. We will be back. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Disgusting 3rd time unlucky. Ordered take away ding ding and plastic packaging from god knows what, was found in it again!!!! Awful customer service over the phone and directly. You’re serving food for humans not animals (even animals can’t eat plastic) Food safety inspectors need to be told about this service. Something needs to be done. What a shame! I went in and showed him and he told me I had put the plastic in it . Um excuse me??? He then proceeded and said what do you want me to do? Um I beg your pardon?? Refund me! Got my refund and also told half of the Resturant that I had found plastic in my food and to watch out! This doesn’t deserve a 1 star it deserves 0 stars. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I would highly suggest you starve yourself then go and eat here. They’re clearly trying to kill humans. The old man who stands at the front taking orders, shame on you for talking to a girl like that. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Uyghur Restaurant is a one-man restaurant - walk in and you'll see that the owner is the waiter, cashier, chef and cleaner. I've seen multiple negative reviews regarding his service but based off my experiences, I think this all boils down to the cultural differences in customer service against our high Aussie standards. I've never had an issue, just don't hold your expectations so high here. All the main meals I've tried here have been equally delicious - lots of halal lamb and veg tofu options which are great! Average priced meals given the location but portion sizes are generally quite large and filling. Overall cleanliness could be improved upon, but somewhat passable personally for me in favour of the food. All around a good Uyghur option in the suburbs worth checking out.
