Great cozy, local, discreet Izakaya located just next to Shibuya Scramble. Simple, no nonsense high quality food and drink without any pretentiousness. Drunken shrimp. Ebi wonton. And crab croquette are all a must-try. Kaze No Mori sake - slightly sweet and easy to drink highly recommended! Walk-ins allowed when not busy on weekdays but weekends should make reservations. Delicious Izakaya food with a twist. - Sashimi was fresh and loved the fried crunchy shrimp head. - The crab cream korokke was crispy outside, creamy inside. - Saba Sushi was fatty with a nice balance from the vinegar rice. Uyu restaurant is a 6 months old Kappo restaurant and is a real gem. The food was delicious and prepared with much care, featuring fresh ingredients and seasonal produce. The selection of sake and local wine was very good. The service, led by head chef Motomitsu Ren was excellent. The team spoke English and was able to work around our food restrictions. They took such good care of us and we had the best experience.
