After seeing Beatty Museum & Historical Society, it may be a nice idea to visit this bar. Taste perfectly cooked steak sandwiches, hamburgers and onion strings to form your opinion about VFW. After a long working week, you can try good beer. It's time to degustate great coffee.

First impression, this is a stinky bar. Thankfully we were told in advance that they have a non-smoking room. We ordered at the bar in the smoking room and the food was delivered to the non smoking room. Who knew there were still smoking restaurants out there... it didn't stop us. VFW had come highly recommended from locals. The jalapeños were delicious, they were a little greasy & lacked heat- but still, very tasty. The burger was excellent. Onion rings, perfectly fried in a fresh batter. The French dip did not come with an au jus, so that was kinda disappointing. If you are okay with walking thru a smoky bar for delicious food, this is your spot. It's also one of the only local places open on Mondays. So plan accordingly.

Great place in a tiny town. I definitely recommend checking it out when you go. Awesome service, and the food was great! Will be back when I roll through again.

Food was good, nothing special and definitely extremely greasy. Service was kind and even gave us an extra appetizer for waiting longer than expected. Nice atmosphere.
