The food was amazing! We ordered chicken gyros, Greek salad and fresh juices. Everything was delirious and looked nice. The only thing we didn’t like was that there are many kids playing football and riding scooters on the square where the restaurant is located. One time the ball hit a table and shattered a glass. Price per person: €25–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Lovely restaurant with very attentive staff and good food. We went for dinner and ordered the Souvlaki mix. The portion was supposed to be for two, but it can easily feed 3 or 4 people. It was delicious and served with some bread and salad. We also ordered Greek salad and ended up taking it home in a doggie bag. The atmosphere was wonderful with calm music and a nice view. For sure worth another visit. Price per person: €15–20

We’ve been eating here for 7 years, multiple times every summer holiday as we love Lixouri and V+S. However this year was our last time going there. They’ve decided to make the main course portions incredibly small. Needed to order additional fries, bread and tzaziki to be full and we are normal (not excessive) eaters. Drinks and food were considerably more expensive and on our second visit this month, thinking we’ll give them another try, maybe it was an off night (portion wise), well that visit sealed the deal for us. The bill came and I checked it as it was a bit on the steep side for what the 4 of us had and I saw a dish, written in Greek that was €24,90. We had stifado, gyros, a starter (as main) and a baby size vegan sweet n sour with rice - on the menu as a main course meal. I was sure it was just an error and called the server who told me it was the vegan dish. I could only laugh and asked her to justify such a ridiculous price for this kids size portion served at that price. The time before we ordered the vegan chick gyros which was also small but cost 15 euro. They used the same meat subsitute in the sweet n sour and charged 10 euro extra. Server said it was because of the special sauce. I didn’t bother to argue. I paid the bill totally dumbfounded at the ridiculous menu prices and reduced portion sizes they have this year.
V+ S you’re pricing yourselves out of the market like this. I already noticed there were always available tables there every evening. In previous years it has always been heaving in there. I now understand why. We did not check the menu prices before ordering as we have never had to do that before, so it wasn’t on our radar. their prices were always a little more but normal for a premium spot on the square, but worth it, food was always good and certainly enough so it was our own error not to check first. Very disappointing. Two stars for location, atmosphere and service only. Food and price is one star only.
