I'd say the restaurant is overrated. We tried pasta. Carbonara was saltier than expected on a level that I didn't even finish. The other one was okayish but still a bit salty. Worth a visit if you don't mind salty food. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €20–30

On our last night in Rome, we went to Trattoria Vecchia Roma. I had made reservations months ahead of time, having read that it was not only very good, but also very popular. Without a doubt, it was absolutely packed, and there was a line outside. We were immediately seated, and attended to. The manager is a hectic guy, running around in a hurry, doing things quickly - and yet, he was polite and attentive. The service was good in spite of being so full and so busy. The place is beautifully decorated, reminiscent of old Italian trattorias - lovely! The food was fantastic! We ordered Capricciosa Pizza (AMAZING)!!! Dough perfectly cooked (toasted underneath), lots of tomato sauce and cheese, and fresh ingredients. We got the Carciofe Romana (artichoke) which was delicious - soft, drizzled with olive oil. We accompanied our dinner with Verdure Grigliate (grilled veggies) - cooked to perfection, savory and tasty. Absolutely recommended! Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
